Reefscape Australia was approached by an incredibly luxurious and prestigious resort, "Panacea", on the island of Koh Samui in Thailand. The Principal and owner of the resort wished to include a large saltwater aquarium within their latest development.
Construction of the resort had already commenced making the cost effective inclusion of the aquarium into the building, challenging for all parties concerned.
Reefscape worked with the Bangkok based architect, building engineer and project management teams from IPS Asia and Cornerstone Management to produce a set of working structural drawings.
Reefscape then worked with the client to produce a highly realistic artificial reef aquarium concept as live or natural hard coral reef aquariums are illegal in Thailand.
Reefscape Australia commissioned the aquarium, trained in house maintenance staff on on the systems opperation and provided details of stock suppliers in Thailand.
The aquarium maintained by the resort autonomously and there is no further requirment for our nvolvment. This is what it looks like today.
